Wild Life Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Hoof It: Had to archive complementary cache "Thank you, Alice" due to coyotes in the area. So it's time for this one to say good bye as well. Thanks to all those who sought this one out.

Geocache Description:

Park at parking coordinates, cross road, find cache, observe nature. You are encouraged to bring binoculars and/or a birding scope for this one as there tends to be a variety of waterfowl throughout the warmer months.

The original purpose of this cache, other than getting the North coordinates for "Mud Pond and Beyond" (West coordinates for Mud Pond & Beyond are across the pond at "Thank you, Alice") is to observe and note the wildlife that this pond is known for.
The original Cache contained a pencil, waterproof log book, and a new copy of "Birds of Connecticut Field Guide", by Stan Tekiela.
A few seekers failed to close the container watertight and each time the bird book would die a slow, moldy death. So no more bird book, but as of 8/13/2012 there's a dry container and a new log.

Please be aware that there is poison ivy in the vicinity.

Please reseal the container so it is watertight!
