About 45 ft off a curve in the road. Slightly downhill. Gravel road going over East River Mountain.
Feel like driving over a mountain today? This one is almost exactly (.99) a mile from where the Snarly Old Man lives. Nice drive and excellent views. After going over the mountain from the Bluefield side (Mountain View Road across from Graham High School) you will follow a stream down the mountain. Probably some good fishing there.
This location is availible 24/7, however, due to the amount of beer bottle I saw strewn about the area I'd recommend grabbing this one during daylight hours. I've been over this road many times and hardly ever see another vehicle.
Lots of good stuff to start this cache out. FTF will get a brand new, shiny, $1 coin. There are VA and WV quarters, several pharm rep items, pens - highlighters - etc, a Happy Meals Hummer, and, best of all - Snarly Old Man signature cards!!! Good luck to all. Have a safe trip.
