Notice: This part of the park is closed for general use during hunting season, for Archery from October 1 through November 11 this year. This cache is part of a series of three, “White Pines Prairie Problem,” “White Pines Prairie Predicament,” and the last, “White Pines Prairie Paradox.” This cache is NOT located at the above coordinates, however, you may park at (N 40° 38.344' W 089° 02.653')
You need to bring your own pen or pencil.
Information for locating THIS, the final cache of the series is to be found in each of the first two caches. You are only given the true North degrees to the final from each cache. There are several methods for finding the final, so come prepared to use your preferred method. There is no need to go on the lake, climb a tree or dig a hole, but you will have to hike a little over a mile. The trail may be wet or muddy in places. You may encounter mosquitoes, ticks, and other insects, Poison Ivy, etc. Please be careful.
Trees will cause your GPS signals to vary. None of the caches require a special tool to retrieve the container. Thanks to the Administrators of Evergreen Lake for permission to place these caches. The park closes at 10 p.m.
During the hunting season, areas that are closed will be clearly marked with signage. Park Patrons may also pick up a map showing the areas for this program at the COMLARA Park Visitor Center. We hope to enable these caches between hunting periods.
