One in a series along a paved bike trail in Georgetown County which passes through Huntington Beach State park. The nearest legal parking near the north end of the trail is near the Oyster recycling location. This road is clearly marked, but may be hard to spot, and it is a very sharp turn off Hwy 17 (accessible from either north or south bound), so be careful. If you start here you will encounter 7 challenge caches as you head south. There are a total of three (3) traditional caches at the northern end of this bike trail. Besides this one there are also GC8JM2Y and GC1APXF. The challenge caches require that you "QUALIFY" to claim a find, by meeting specific requirements listed on each cache page. Additional legal parking would be on Trace Dr. at the southern end of this bike trail. Definitely do not park by the old gates that are the original entrance to the state park, which are directly across from the entrance to Brookgreen Gardens. If you start here you will be heading north on the trail. The 11 caches on the southern half of the trail are all Traditional style caches. This entire section of the bike trail is almost 3 miles long, but there are a total of 20 caches along this trail, some traditional (everyone can find these), and about 8 challenges which require you to qualify for them before being allowed to claim a find.
