A short walk along the track which leads past Scarlett Visitor
Centre. Fascinating coastal scenery with great geological interest.
The limestone gives way to basalt very suddenly, and The Stack (on
the edge of the sea near the cache) is the remains of a volcanic
plug.
The walk is easy, except for a scramble of a few feet to the top
of a "mini-mountain". The cache is a camouflaged metal container:
rather a large micro - with room for a couple of small swaps,
geocoins or (tiny) travel bugs.
Part of the "Three Legs" series of caches. See the final cache
(GC12AQM) for full details.
Make a note of the keyword you find written on the cache log
book. You can use this in conjunction with the translation table
(see GC12AQM) to obtain a three-digit number, which
is part of the coordinates for Three Legs: Stabit. In this case, the three
numbers correspond to C,F and I.
