Moore's Cove Trail

This cache is located just off a short easy hike along Moore's Cove Trail. If you wish to continue another .5 mile along the trail, you will come to Moore's Cove Falls. Moore's Cove Falls free-falls about 50 feet from an overhanging rock ledge, and you can even walk behind the waterfall for a new perspective. A primitive path ascends to the top of the falls but this is quite dangerous and is not recommended. The cache container is a 6"x 6" plastic container with a snap-on lid. The lid is quite tight-fitting, so please take the time to be sure it is completely resealed, and please rehide it well. REVISED HINT TO MAKE CACHE EASIER TO FIND
Update: On November 12, 2007, we returned for routine cache maintenance. This was the very first geocache we ever hid, way back in July of 2001. When we hid it, we were six years younger. At that time, we judged the terrain level to be 1.5. Now, six years later, (and older) perhaps due to global warming or some other reason, the terrain level has changed to somewhere around a 2.5. perhaps in another few years it may become a 3.0 or 3.5.
