The cache is hidden just off the path of a very picturesque walk. If you walk in from the track near where Bibra Drive meets Hope Rd you will enjoy two things.
1. A lovely patch of bush for the last 20 or so metres.
2. A family of magpies that seem to stalk (not swoop) you. This is quite an extraordinary thing.
If you prefer to park further down Hope Rd and enter via the designated entrance, the walk is still enjoyable but you will miss out on the items described above - so take the time to keep walking for another 10 mins or so (then turn and head back).
What is extraordinary though, is the way they follow you (on foot). You always get the feeling you are being stalked - and sure enough, turn around, a couple of henchman are "seeing you off the property". At times you continue your walk and forget about them only to find one or two keeping a watchful eye on you.
On one occasion, I stood there mesmerised by the number of magpies, only to watch more and more appear and land from nowhere. Then they all started to sing at me. Some would walk closer and if I disappeared into the bush one or two would follow - some on foot and some via the air.
Quite amazing!
