Geocache Description:

Due to the plethora of (ugh) Micros permeating this area. I decided to hide "Excessum UT Parvulus Crypta" (Death to Micros). This cache is hidden in a small park south of Port Orange. I also provide you with several items of local history along with this cache.
As you come south out of Port Orange on U.S,1, you will pass the "Last Resort Bar" made famous (?) by Charlize Theron in the movie "Monster", the story of Aileen Wuornos. Charlize actually filmed her part inside the bar.
Further south, just before Rose Bay is the Fairwinds motel, where Aileen and her friend lived at rm. 10.
The park is located on Strickland Bay and is fed by the waters of the Intercoastal, and Spruce creek also empties into it creating both fresh & salt water (brackish). The long dock extending into the bay is closer to Spruce Creek, so the water is classified as fresh, thus requiring a fresh water license if you fish there. The marsh is classified as a salt water marsh though The ecotone is where a wet habitat changes to a forest
The park suffered greatly during the past hurricanes, and the foliage is overgrown and full of dead falls. The trees are mostly slash pine & magnolia, reminding me of Florida's once booming turpentine industry. A well maintained trail winds through the park. There is a small boat launch for canoes & kyacks at the trail head by the dock, but due to the marsh it is only accessible to the bay at high tide. If.......after locating the cache, you continue on the trail. It will lead you to another small trail going N.E. and ending up at a high tower, overlooking
the marshland between Rose Bay & Strickland Bay. I once found an old bear trap in the woods there, but I doubt there are any bears left in the area.
My Garmin was having a "Bad Hair" day when I hid this cache so the listed co-ords are +/- 15 -20 ft. I have included a spoiler in the hint.
Hope you enjoy..................
