Geocache Description:

This cache is located in Astico Park in Dodge County. It is a standard ammo box.

This cache is located in one of our favorite local parks. It has lots of ammenities like a playground, picnic spots, a natural spring for drinking, and some camping. We enjoy the hiking trails here as well. In 2006 the bridge within the park was reconstructed at his current spot. It was salvaged many years ago by interested locals who did not want to see this part of history torn down. It really adds a nice feature to Astico park. You may chose to park in a few spots to locate this cache. If you are in the mood for "grab and go" chose to park in the very small lot near the coordinates. Otherwise if you'd like to find the other caches in the park and make a day of it park in any of the lots in the park and take a hike. The terrain from inside the park to the bridge is steep. The terrain from outside the park to the bridge is easier. If you like fishing, bring your pole and bait. My son and his grandpa have had some fun catches here.
