Along the Sustrans cycle path from Brixton to Elburton
This is a regular lock and lock box hidden along the cycle path from Brixton to Elburton. It is called Mums secret as although I have lived in this area all my life - I never even knew it was there until a year or two ago. There is a interesting marker approx halfway along the path with lots of carvings on and a rubbing that you can do. You can approach from either end but there is very little parking at Brixton unless you use the Garden centre during opening hours(there is a gate to a footpath direct off the carpark) and what better excuse for cream tea and cake!
Approaching from Elburton is via Dawes lane. Path will initially be wet and slippery after rain at this end.
Wheelchair and pushchair accessible from Brixton end only - although wheelchair users would need assistance at the cache site.
