Where Do We Go Next? Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

khaytsus: Yep, it's gone. I wonder what they're doing here... Oh well, looked about 15 minutes in case they'd tossed the ammo can somewhere, but couldn't find it. Thanks to everyone who visited!

Geocache Description:

During the summer, everyone is visiting different places around the state asking "Where Do We Go Next?" Maybe this cache will help!

This cache contains as many brochures for tourism and places of interest I could find, and I'm hoping that as people stop by they will drop off more! If you're headed into town, bring some brochures from your area and drop them off, and pick up or browse the existing ones to find new places to visit here in Lexington! Currently included is a very nice full color Kentucky 2007 Visitors Guide full of ideas and information as well as some other random brochures from kentuckytourism.com and other sources.

Also, for the kids, I'm putting in some fun trade items.. Some flashing LED stars, some super bouncy balls, army men, some Dora the Explorer necklaces, perhaps some other tidbits. I've also placed some puzzle books and pages, crayons, and pencils to keep the kids occupied during the long hours on the road. Feel free to take a book and pencil along for your trip! Just leave the pen for the next cacher to sign with please!

There is a nearby restaurant at the corner of Broadway and Judy Lane which is less than a minute from the interstate and has plenty of parking and is the best location to begin your hunt. It's open 24/7 but once you get out of the parking lot you should be able to approach the cache without being noticed. The cache is a large ammo box and is located a bit deep in the brush, so if you're bringing younger kids along it might be best that an adult retrieve the cache and bring it out into the grassy area for the kids to view, just please make sure you hide it as you found it as there appears to be occasional foot traffic through this area.

There's an area North-East of where the cache is which has some signs saying to keep out, please do as it looks like it might be a small sink. It looks to only be 5-10 feet deep, but could be a little dangerous if someone isn't careful. The cache is over 100 feet away from this area so there shouldn't be any reason to be near it.

There are many historic locations in town, and many other caches, hope to see you soon!

Congratulations to Savage16 for the FTF!
