7.15. Archive or unarchive a geocache
Archiving a geocache is meant to be a permanent action. Only community volunteer reviewers and Geocaching HQ can unarchive caches. This is done only in rare circumstances and only if the cache meets the current geocaching guidelines.

If a cache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance, it will not be unarchived.

Geocache Description:

This is not a difficult cache to find but at times there are a lot of Muggles around so please be careful. This cache is more about the location than the cache itself.

The Old Robe Gaol was constructed in 1861 and closed again in 1881. What your see is only half of the original design that was constructed for male prisoners. The other half was to be built for female prisoners but never eventuated. Maybe Robe didn’t have any Bad Girls? Take the time to read the information boards located at the Gaol. The name of this cache came about after reading about a prisoner who escaped and got bogged in Lake Eliza trying to mask his scent from tracking dogs. Due to the large amounts of cuts he received from climbing over the gaol wall (broken glass on the top) and the salt from the lake he was some time later petrified. The replacement cache is a small container with a note book and pencil within. Please make sure you take time in replacing the cache as I suspect it will not last long if you don’t. Just down the road is The Obelisk which is also worth a look.
