8:30 AM - 10:00AM
Saturday 8/04/2007
Near the intersection of 35W and 694. Easy on, easy off.
Look for the light blue van hauling the silver trailer, or park at
the Mermaid and walk across.
This sad little parking lot has been the site of MANY Centris
adventures over the past years
Lots of opportunity for CITO here so bring a trash bag
(grin)
- I will be providing donuts and pastries
from Han's Bakery in Anoka -- they are the BEST bakery in all of
MN.
- You will need to bring your own coffee or
juice or other beverage...
- There are no chairs or seats or tables
here, so bring your own if you think you will need to sit
down...
- I will be collecting swag for a Minnesota
themed geocache I will be placing in Wyoming ASAP.... so please
bring some goodies and signature items to donate to the ammo
can.
I will also accept donations of interesting cache containers and
*evil* cache ideas for placement out in my little corner of
WY/UT/ID (I need to place some caches for you guys to find when you
come visit me!!)
Now for the "good
stuff"....
This is one of TWO events .... "Goodbye Minnesota" is part one
of the event -- part two, "Hello Wyoming" will be held the
following weekend in Evanston WY.
Link to part two of the event is --->HERE
To officially say my goodbyes to the MN caching community, I
will be giving away a very limited geocoin that I had minted
just for this event. (yes it IS PINK -- get over it!!!) This will be your
only chance to receive one in MN.
There are 50 gold finish coins available for MN cachers - First
come, first choice... when they are gone, they are gone... no
pre-sales, no pre-trades. (the WY version of the coin is a silver
finish - just so you can tell the difference)
This will also be the last official MN appearance of the "Beanie
Lady" so be sure to bring your kids for their free beanie baby
(look for the big blue flowered bag!!) ----- *Beanie Lady
trivia..... I have been giving away beanies to MN geokids since the
"Beanie Bazaar" in July 2002. I lost track of exactly how many I
have given out, but I know it is currently 300++
I hope to collect a swarm of Tbugs and coinage to be released
along the road and at the event in WY.. so bring 'em on if you have
any that want to go west.
Thank you so much for your friendship and
sharing and care and all the fun times we have had.
I have had the opportunity of participating in and watching the
evolution and growth of geocaching in Minnesota for the past five
years and I have loved every minute of it. You are the best bunch
of cachers on the globe...
I feel honored to know you. I will miss you.
Remember, my door is always open!! Let me
know you are coming.... ROAD TRIP!!!
** When you log -- feel free to tell those WY cachers how wonderful
I am
