Geocache Description:

This geocache is within a few feet of the Sonic tray.

Note that the terrain rating is a half star or full star over the others in the series.

FTF gets an Eye Of The Pirate pin if he/she wants it.

I love this bike trail!

What a gem. This is an outstanding bike trail. So many things to see, and diversions along the way if one wants to be diverted. It has a nice distance of 70 miles. Don't worry, you don't have to ride 140 miles to do this geocaching series.

This trail is an excellent example of a Rails-To-Trails project. The Rails-To-Trails Conservancy brings great things to outdoor people. To learn more about Rails-To-Trails, click here. Bike it!

This trail is nice and flat and straight with very gradual curves, which is why the old railroad beds make such good bike trails. I personally like some hills, but flat and straight is really good. It allows a nice steady uninterrupted pace.

This series of geocaches runs along a section of the trail that is between Waynesville and I-71, and it extends down south of I-71 a little bit.

Your bike ride for this initial series (we will be hiding more), will not be long. You will ride less than 15 miles round trip.

We have decided that we will submit only two or three hides from this series at a time for publishing. That way, just one single person won't be able to grab the bike, and run out and FTF them all.

That's not to say that one person will not FTF them all. If you decide to make repeated trips to do that, then more power to you - you deserve it.

But if you want to find all these hides on a single bike ride, you'll need to wait for a little while until they all are published. It won't take long.

Most of this first group of hides use the same container, hidden in a variety of ways. You are looking for a painted beach tube, with an inner container that contains the logsheet. The container will hold small items such as pins and micro coins.

Parking coordinates are provided below. And the titles of these caches mean nothing in relation to the hides. They are all just different weather phenomona.

We hope you have as much fun finding them as we did hiding them.

Permission for the placement of this geocache was granted by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
