It's ALL about the numbers!
A mission began in 2005 when we decided to
hold an event called
A Day at the Creek - Sunrise to Sunset to determine which
cachers were so crazed and hungry for geocaching that they would
come and join us that early in the morning. It was more than we
could have imagined! We had almost 30 fellow cachers attend. The
"Sunrise to Sunset" event series needs to live on!
We are inviting all of you to join us once
again for a geocacher greet, meet, and eat! And, if it's all about
the SEVENS this year, then it has to take place at 07:07:07 in the
morning!! This event will certainly cater to cachers who love an
early start to a great day of caching!! The bonus for this year? It
happens to be on a Saturday!! There is NO reason that we can't
exceed our 50 Cachers-In-Attendence goal!!
We have even given it "Seven" Stars (3.5 for
difficulty and 3.5 for terrain) for those who will have difficulty
passing up this event, and for those who like to sleep-in a little
bit on the weekends. Come on, don't be shy, this will be a great
kickoff for a weekend of caching.
Just like the past years, we are on the
lookout for creative cache containers and creative hide ideas. Two
years ago, I previewed caches which I later used on the "Get Your
Kicks ..." series. Last year at the Cache Container Swap Meet we
had numerous inventive and imaginative containers and we are eager
to see what this year will bring! Put your noggin to work and get
creative. Bring your coolest geocache container. The only rule is
this has to be a useable geocache container, and we should all
expect to see it placed soon after the event!
To claim this event cache,
you will need to make your way to the above coordinates and sign
the logbook between 07:07:07 AM and 07:07:07 PM.
If you plan on attending, please include in
your posting how many will be in your group so we know how many
crazy cachers to expect. Be sure to watch this page for updates,
changes, and/or announcements.
