Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the above co-ordinates but follow the directions below to get started.

This has been a fantastic caching year for the Family and the events have made it the best year yet. If you haven't been to an event make sure you do as you'll get a chance to meet so many great people. One such event was a COG event that this cache was named after. Thanks to IsqubaAndNawty for the inspiration for this years Ornament/Stamp design and the original container for stage one.

So, on to the cache. If you don't know it yet, my Christmas caches are a way for me to give back to the caching community that I love dearly. I don't seem to get organized enough to get that many caches out so I make up for it by making and giving out Christmas ornaments every year. The stock has run out for this one but there are others that still have some. The more recent the cache, the better your chances so get out and find them!

Letterbox Stamping Kit
Before you get your instructions, this is also a letterbox cache. In it you will find a stamping kit that belongs in the cache. Some people, like I do, have a special book they use for collecting stamps from Letterboxes. The kit contained in the cache is so that you can stamp your book with the custom made stamp within. In testing the stamp pad it works best if you rub the stamp lightly over the coloured pad to get an even amount of ink on the stamp. THE STAMP KIT INCLUDING THE STAMP AND PAD ARE TO REMAIN IN THE CACHE.

Now that you know all about the contents and history, here's the instructions:

From the posted coordinates follow the path EAST. After you go down the stairs you'll see a bridge that crosses the river to the EAST. Look in the big trees to the right, before that bridge. There you'll find the first thing we saw when opening one of our presents at the COG Christmas in July gift exchange. It had what I would consider the "grand prize" of gifts inside, a gift certificate for Stop 400, WooHoo! What will you find?
Update, Original First Stage MIA so replace with a dog tag.
The route will take you very close to the river so please watch your little ones and make sure they don't go for a swim unexpectedly. MAKE SURE YOU GET THE INFORMATION FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE ENGRAVED PLATE INSIDE THE CACHE! You'll need it to be able to find "Where's my Christmas bonus". Good luck and happy hunting!

The "special" engraved Ornament packets for FTF, 2TF and 3TF went to In Need of a Cache for the Gold, Tequila for the Silver and Dabhid07 for the Bronze. Congratulations!
