Flisteridge Woods South Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
The cache is located on the edge of a short byway that passes through Flisteridge Woods, which are part of the original Braydon Forest that was once much more extensive across the area than it now is. However Flisteridge Woods are still a very pleasant area to stroll in, especially during the bluebell season.
To park as close to the cache as you can without actually taking your vehicle along the byway, park at the junction between the byway and the road at N51 37.219 W2 00.430 (ST 99601 91282). For more of a stroll through the woods park slightly further north-west along the road at N51 37.294 W2 00.748 (ST 99238 91429).
There is a ford on the walk to the cache, so wellies or boots are needed unless you don’t mind getting wet. The ford might become difficult to get across after periods of heavy rainfall. There are some stinging nettles in the vicinity of the cache location, so long trousers are advised – gloves and bravery probably not.
