Rest area just east of Des Moines. Last 100 ft may require a little bushwacking in late summer. Depending on the time of day some stealth may be required.
As we travel with the kids we love being able to break up the trip with a rest area cache. This is a very nice remodelled rest area along westbound I-80 just east of Des Moines near the Mitchellville exit 149. Since rest areas always seem to go in pairs, it seemed natural to have a couple caches that go well together. Check out its companion cache, "... and Jelly", on the way home.
Cache is a camouflaged plastic container about a gallon in size with usual starting items. Please make sure lid is on tight.
