This ammo box is located in a great park with many oppertrunities for adults, kids and dogs to have a great time. Parking, restroom and water available. Please follow speed limit. Please cache in and trash out.
Hours of Operation:
Summer: 8am- 8pm; Winter: 8am- 6pm; Monday-Sunday
I had to relocate the cache due to a forest fire and the clearing of the land. It is has to be divine intervention that the cache survived. Please see photos that I uploaded. I guess my Dad is still looking out for me.
This Cache is being placed in memory of my Dad who passed away in March of 2007. His birthday is April 30 so two of my brothers, Sgt Hiker (B'ham, AL) and RESE & Krewe (Fairhope, AL) and I are each placing a cache for our Dad. He was very active in all our lives and we miss him a great deal.
The original items are things that my Dad had in his den or things that remind us of him.
* TB Acton Owl - Pops was Wise
* TB Briainiac - Pops was pretty smart
* Dad was an incredable history buff so I have included some great war items he collected, planes and tanks.
* He took me to all my football games and to a lot of Alabama football games so I have included a football & air pump needles.
* Swim Goggles for all my swim meets he took me to.
* An air guage - shopping for an air guage was the last thing we did together
* NASCAR hot wheel - we had some great times at all the races. Drive fast and turn left!
Our hope is that this cache will make you think of your dad and some special times. Leave something that reminds you of him and know that it will make a fellow cacher think of their Dad.
