Geocache Description:

This cache is located on level ground in a somewhat busy shopping area. It is not really accessible to wheelchairs because of a planter near the GZ. Older persons and small children will have no trouble recovering this one. It is a bottle covered in camo tape. It is larger than the usual small, but not big enough to be called a regular. Light bushwacking.

I just read a short article in the newspaper about a monument in Huntington Beach that marks the spot of the proposed location of a tower designed by Lloyd Wright. I thought it sounded like a perfect place for a cache. He was the son of the famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The younger Wright was also famous in his own right. Apparently in 1970 the residents in the area fought against the tower, and their wishes were adhered to by the developer. So instead of a genuine Lloyd Wright creation in HB we have a stone monument. He did however design the decorations that you see adorning the exterior of the nearby strip mall. I really like some the elder Wright's designs. In fact my husband and I were married in one of them, The Wayfarer's Chapel in Palos Verdes California. I like them so much I think this will be the first of a series.
