Located on the NSW mid-coast, this area is famous among wave surfers throughout the world.
In fact, the surfing doesn’t get much better than around here, especially when, for most of the year, there are long stretches of golden sand that you won’t have to share with anyone.
Anglers, too, are drawn to the surf and estuarine fishing.
From the 100m high crest you can almost see forever, with coastal views stretching over marine parkland to Hat Head in the north and to Point Plomer to the south.
If you are traveling north from Point Plomer, you can actually drive along the beach if you have a 4WD and a permit. A much better option than traveling along the very rough coastal road. However if you don’t have a 4WD, this area can be accessed by good roads from the north, west and south.
The cache is a small plastic screw top container which is heavily camouflaged. It should be easy to find if you approach it from the right angle.
