Fairly well hidden along the river bank, but if you're willing to
step down and look around, I'm sure you'll find it. Terrain is not
difficult unless muddy, in which case you could very well end up
being in "old muddy."
In honor of the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Fest that opened this
weekend, I placed a cache along the north branch of the Chicago
River. Cache contains beads, Mardi Gras coins, a Fat Tuesday
wristband, a gris gris bag and other assorted goodies pertaining to
New Orleans. Nothing fancy, just fun stuff. The link with the
Chicago River is that if you put in your pirogue (cajun canoe)
here, you can navigate over to the Mississippi (old muddy) and
eventually down to New Orleans. Bring plenty of supplies, as this
may take a while. Container is well visible if you're looking right
at it. It also smells good, so I'm hoping it doesn't get messed
with by the animals that follow the path. This is a park where one
can put in a person-powered boat if you have one and explore the
Chicago River. If not, rentals at reasonable prices are available
here during season for canoes and kayaks, run by the same people
that do the Skokie thing. Web site to check out which is a cool org
and has nothing to do with this cache other than it's river
