Landrover track all the way, suitable for mountain bikes. Loch suitable for canoes. You are in the hills, please take the usual precautions and be dressed to cope with all weather conditions. There is an un-manned railway line to cross if approaching from the north A9, use the railway phone if you are unsure of crossing. Wee burns to cross to get to the cache.
This cache was set whilst planting trees for the John Muir Trust, and having a welcome break beside this wee waterfall along the way.
Loch Garry is a lovely setting here amongst the hills, and further along the track at Duinish is a bothy for those wishing to stop overnight. The bothy is free to use, all they ask is for you to keep it tidy and leave something for the next person.
The John Muir Trust is a Scottish charity, established in 1983 to conserve and protect wild places with their indigenous animals, plants and soils for the benefit of present and future generations. The JMT is named after John Muir, the Scot who was the first person to call for practical action to safeguard and cherish the world's wild places by bringing back beautiful native woodlands - with all their birds, animals, flowers and other vegetation, insects, mosses and fungi.
