Recommend parking your vehicle next to some bins at NH 86605 20965. Also whilst walking to the cache there is a track that isn't shown on any map at NH 86242 21070, turn left before crossing the small bridge.
1 Litre Cache containing the usual Log Book, Pen & Pencil.
Also - Torch, Green Bouncy Ball, Toy Man, Green Bus, Toy Car, Wax Crayons, Tigger Book, "Ticket To Heaven" Leaflet, New Beginning Card, 2 x water bombs (empty).
Glencharnoch (meaning, in Gaelic, "glen of the heroes")
One such hero in which a small monument has been placed close to the cache is Ian Beag MacAndra. He lived here early in the 17th Century, he was a noted archer and by his skill with the bow and arrow prevented many cattle raiders entering Strathspey.
This stunning Glen has ever changing landscapes and has a multitude of wildlife, such as Pine Marten, Otters, Red Squirrels, Red & Roe Deer, Osprey & Buzzards can all be seen if patient and quiet.
There are a number of ways to return back, I would recommend sticking reasonably close to the embankment (be careful!!) following deer trails and the River Dulnain back to the bridge, this gives stunning views down onto the River and down the Glen. (See Pictures)
