Geocache Description:

I realize we just finished our Spring picnic, but it's time to talk about our summer picnic on Saturday, July 21st, 2007 - Noon-4PM.

SLAGA will provide charcoal, plates, utensils, cups, condiments, and soda/water. There will be no charge for this picnic.

This will be a very laid back picnic event. It is in no way intended to compete with our Spring and Fall picnics, so there will be no attendence prizes, auctions, or any advanced planning needed (which should be pretty obvious at the picnic).
The city of Crestwood has again donated this shelter for us to use along with vouchers for access to the pool/water park. Normal admission will be charged to the pool but access is normally for Crestwood residents only. Also near the pool is a new playground. The shelter near the pool we had last year is booked, so we will use the shelter very near the entrance to the park. There is actually a lot more privacy, but requires a short walk or drive to the playground and pool. There are 2 small pits, water, porta-potty, but no electric.

Since this is intended as a picnic get together, SLAGA will provide charcoal for those that want to cook burgers or brats, or ? but everyone should bring their own food for their families. If anyone wants to bring something to share, that's great, but not required.

Pool Prices
Adult ( ages 13-61 ): $7
Youth ( ages 4-12 ): $5
Senior ( ages 62+ ): $5
Age 3 and under: Free

There are 11 permanent caches in the park for those that haven't found them, along with many caches on the nearby Grant Trail. A few games will also be available.

Just make a note if you plan to come (Shelter holds about 75) and keep checking this page for possible changes.
