This park is located 10 miles north of Klamath Falls on Highway 97. It was the first park to be developed in the Klamath County system and contains five acres; 3 1/2 acres donated by William Hagelstein and 1 1/2 acres purchased from the State Land Board.
The park was completed and dedicated in July, 1963. A brick building contains rest rooms.
The park offers drinking water, picnic tables, 10 trailer sites or tent sites, plenty of parking space, room to turn larger vehicles around, and a boat ramp for water access to Klamath Lake.
Several other Geocaches are located in the area above this one, but this one is good for those who don't wish to (or can't) drive far from Hwy 97.
