SQ - Thayer Traditional Cache

The cache is located is an old cemetery in Northville on land
originally owned by Rufus Thayer. The cemetery is no longer active
but is open for viewing. The oldest burial dates back to 1811.
Several Thayers are buried here, and there is an old abandoned
house on the property.
The cache is a very small lock-n-lock box with room for small
trades. We had a difficult time getting a good GPS reading so you
may want to use the hint. Also, watch for insects at the cache
site.
This is a drive-in cemetery with entrances from two roads.
The SQ in the cache name above signifies Spirit Quest, a project to
distinguish those caches that are set in cemeteries or memorial
gardens. Please be respectful of the area. Michigan law states
that you are only permitted to visit cemeteries dawn to dusk.
This cemetery has no additional posted hours.
