Geocache Description:

Our very first cache, this is located in beautiful Chase Farm, a favorite spot of our's and of our late dog, Mojo. Less than a half mile round-trip, this can do done following mostly gentle trails up rolling hills. With our beloved dog, Mojo, we enjoyed many beautiful sunset views from the area of the cache. The cache is filled with fun things for our canine friends, and for their human caregivers. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE POISON IVY THROUGH OUT THE AREA & NEAR THE CACHE!

Our "problem child", Mojo, ( aka. Psycho Dog ) was a spoiled, incorrigible mutt who we loved dearly and lost last year, very suddenly to cancer at 10 years old. He never got to go geocaching with us, but would have made a great geo-mutt. He loved hiking and being outdoors more than anything. He particularly loved Chase Farm. As we'd approach on Breakneck Hill Road, he'd realize where we were going and could barely contain himself. We knew that this would be where we would place our first cache, and that it had to be placed in Mojo's memory. There isn't a trip that we make out onto the trail without wishing he were with us.

Chase Farm was originally purchased in 1661 by Thomas Arnold. In the late 1800's it became the Chase family's dairy farm, delivering dairy products to homes until 1965. The Town of Lincoln then purchased the property to maintain the historic, open space. Enjoy all of the beautiful areas of this park. A wonderful place to go walking, with or without a dog, there are well kept trails, a scenic pond and a gorgeous butterfly garden. We particularly enjoy it in the early morning and at sunset. A word of warning to dog walkers, though you may see many dogs allowed off leash, we have seen the leash law enforced here and fines imposed.
