Close to the A1(M) on the National Cycle Network - Route 12, the clue is in the title....
For this cache you are looking for a blue micro on open view, fixed to a nail head by a small yet very strong Neodymium magnet. Like many of the "Pedal Power" caches, this micro only contains a mini log book so bring your own writing tool to add your log entry.
Now for a few facts about magnets...magnetic material was originally discovered around 1AD by a Greek shepherd boy named Magnus (hence the term Magnet). However, Neodymium magnets are relatively new, invented in the 1980's by a team at General Motors Research Laboratory.
Neodymium magnets should always be handled carefully, in fact two of the small magnets as used in this cache container can cause your skin to be nipped, don't even go there with larger ones! I've used them in several of the "Pedal Power" caches so never put those micro-caches near one another! Some Neodymium magnets that are slightly larger than the size of a penny are powerful enough to lift over 10 kilograms.
Caution - keep your magnetic stripped bank cards well away from the magnet.
