The first cache previous location was too close to the water & was washed away. The second location, the stump was destroyed. The third time, the container disapeared. The fourth time the container was waterlogged and the trees nearby were cut down.We would give up on this cache, but it's such a neat place and enjoyable to visit, for adults and kids alike. So we placed another cache container,we'll try again!! Bring your own pen.
The Burlington State Fish Hatchery located in Burlington off Route 4 is open to the public 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily. There is no charge to walk the grounds or check out the hatchery. Look for the cache but take some time to look at all the holding tanks & pools of fish too. You may be able to go inside the building to see even more.
