Geocache Description:

A short walking trail runs through the area, easy terrain all at ground level.

The Corroboree Rock, a striking limestone crag, is a place of great significance to the Aborigines. It is a cult site where initiation rites are performed and sacred stones are kept with which the Aboriginal myths are handed down to the younger generation by the telling of stories about the Dreamtime. Corroboree means a meeting place for ceremonial, ritual or warlike occasions, usually accompanied by dances. The term is now also applied to the performances of Aboriginal dances organized for tourists. Maintenance of the cache will be carried out by Waddlesk -- a local cacher.
