This is third in a series caches along the 2.7 mile loop trail in Bluffs Regional Park. There is a map of the park in the Gallery of Images. If you decide to go for all 5 caches in the series then starting from the parking coordinates, walk the loop in a counter-clockwise direction. This will keep you from back-tracking. THIS IS A 2 STAGE MULTI, WITH GOODIE BOXES AT BOTH STAGES. THE COORDINATES FOR STAGE 2 ARE WRITTEN ON THE LID OF THE CONTAINER AT STAGE 1. The trail is a wide gravel path but beware there are several elevation gains along the entire loop thus the level 2.5 terrain rating. Great loop to do on mountain bikes. You could push a stroller if it's one of those heavy duty running strollers. As noted at the trailhead, this is a rattlesnake area so take care where you walk and stick your hands. Depending on the time of day and time of year you should be able to see wildlife including deer, coyote, antelope and fox. From the top of the bluff, on a clear day, there is a panoramic vista of the front range from Pikes Peak to Longs Peak and beyond. This is the highest point around, keep that in mind during the summer thunderstorm and lightning season.
