About Footpath Fever
We have Motorway Mayhem. We have A-Road Anarchy, and we have
SideTracked. But what about people who like to get away from it
all, and find a decent sized box that requires a short walk?
Footpath Fever started at Charnock Richard in Lancashire. It may
take a while to get started, but like the other series, it's
expected to spread across the country!
If hiding one PLEASE BE SENSIBLE and remember that in this day and
age, seeing something "off the beaten track" may come as a suprise
to townie folk. If you see a field full of ruminating ungulates,
don't worry, you've not inadvertantly wandered into a zoo - these
animals are in fact COWS and SHEEP and can be watched for
free!
A nice walk to this one whichever way you approach.I parked at the
entrance to Park Hall / Camelot. This way means you will use the
bridge over the motorway, which gives great views over Anglezare
Moor. From the bridge, looking between the pylon and the tree, from
left to right you have Great Hill, Hurst Hill, (church spire),
Spitlers Edge, Standing Stones Hill and Will Narr.
There's plenty other ways in, which are down country lanes or
along farm tracks. Motorway noise is a bit of a nuisance but the
bluebells at the moment should compensate for this, they look fab
as ever.
