Rise UP to the challenge! Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Ngaambul: As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, or it's been a number of months since the last owner note. I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it. Should you replace the cache after 30 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.

Geocache Description:

A minimum-walk Muggles-Dodgefest Foreign Coin Exchange!

Here’s an interesting but rarely visited historical spot hidden in the midst of the mighty Metropolis of Clarence- rarely visited, but the car park is often full of Muggles carrying Clubs, so beware!

Its location is just outside the historic site (but I encourage you to go in and check it out), is NOT in any garden beds, and its placement has required the use of a small-to-micro container. As such I thought it would be cool to have a theme for the swaps, to keep the contents small. Hence, the foreign exchange! At the time of placement the cache contained the following coins:

Aluminum 5 Paisa (1971-1982) Nepal
Lincoln Memorial Penny 1972-D USA
Washington cu-ni Quarter Dollar 1982 USA
10 Sene 1974 Western Samoa
New Penny 1971 Great Britain
Roosevelt cu-ni Dime 1966 USA
10 Francs (AH1371 1952) Morocco
20 Centimes 1967 France
50 Centavos 1970 Portugal
50 Rupiah (1971) Indonesia
10 Sen 1973 Malaysia
1 Franc 1960 France

I would strongly encourage swapping nothing of value here; after consulting worldcoingallery on the net I have determined that the most valuable coin at time of placement was the quarter-dollar- surprisingly valued at 25 US cents! I would also challenge you to avoid New Zealand coins. I love Kiwis, but NZ currency is so common here that it would end up full of NZ 10 and 20 cent pieces otherwise! I have never left this Great Southern Land of ours (except for two weeks in New Zealand!) but have still managed to find the original “hoard” in the backs of drawers, in change, etc.

Please be especially careful to return the cache to the same place, the right way up.
