Guess I'll start off the 2007 season with an easy hide. Easy to find, not much walking, and just a log or two to step over. A typical ammo can cache, hidden just where you'd expect it.
Never been to this park until today, so left a cache there. I wondered if a person might catch a fish or two here. Worth a try, I'd say. Bring the kids, bring grandma, this is an easy one. And there's a playground.
May need to be careful of muggles, if the fish are biting. Be sure to obscure it with the available bark and other stuff.
When hidden, the cache contained the following:
*Two log books, a pen and pencil with sharpener
*A ziplock for exchanging coins- In it are some Susan B's, quarters and what have you, for you coin types - take one, leave one. Some foreign coins might be cool. In this bag, for the first time finder, is a dollar folded into a pig.
* A "Where's George" $ that I never bothered to log.
* 3 guitar picks
* A couple of 20 amp auto fuses
* A sea shell culled from some beach in this hemisphere, so long ago.
* 3 keychains
* 2 phillips, and one standard screwdriver
* Package of several sun exposure alarm patches - Supposed to let you know before you turn as red as a lobster, I guess. These look cool. Never tried them. Take one and let me know if they work.
* A spoke mounted bicycle light.
* A mini calculator.
* Mini screwdriver set
* An alien eraser
* Mini reflectorized school crossing decal
* A bouncy ball
Sorry, didn't see any ticks here yet, but for those who really like them, I'd bet there should be a few around.
Happy caching,
6
