Pupper trail, Rock View Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
A distance of about 120 feet off a dirt walking/horse trail, or in our case, pupper trail. ;D Our dogs, aka “the puppers” love to go for walks here. The terrain on this part of the trail is a 1.5 due to sandy dirt/rocks. The last hundred feet to the cache itself, we rate 2.5 due to the incline and BEWARNED: BRUSH AND WEEDS. We had to relocate the cache away from the huge boulder, with a great view. If you get to the huge boulder, you've gone past the cache. GPS can be erratic.
You are looking for a camoed metal tin about 5x5x5. It's big enough to hold one or two Travel Bugs. Easy access via the end of the cul de sac has recently been blocked. The trail can be accessed off Whitney Dr, hiking up the fire road at the red metal pipe bar access gate.(Parking on street) From this access point you'll pass our cache “PupperTrail, up the hill and around the bend”, GC2JNDJ, first on this trail, After finding Rock View, you can continue west on the trail to Pupper Trail, Lonely Tree”, GC12NA6. Cache contains log, pen, and misc. geoswag. Always best to bring your own pen just in case ours is MIA. CONGRATULATIONS to fun4twins on your FTF!!
