Geocache Description:

Will start picking up trash around 10:00 AM

This area is governed by two agencies the US Army Corp of Eng & Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency, two great groups that like geocaches in their areas without permit, except in rare circumstances The location is remote, special pickup of the collected trash has been arranged. Please come out and help clean up this old camping area of trash let by hikers and horse back riders over the years The hike in is approximate 7 miles round trip come and enjoy the day. Be sure to bring plenty of water and a lunch for yourself, trash bags will be furnished




This initiative started in 2003, when geocachers around the world organized 67 cleanup events in 5 countries and 28 States. There were 1180 unique logs posted showing participation in these events, and hundreds more acted locally in recognition of this important day. The events were such a huge success that Groundspeak committed to carry on the tradition.
