Geocache Description:

Cole Run Falls

Cole Run Falls are located in Forbes State Forest a short distance downstream from where Cole Run crosses Cole Run Road. A wooden sign post will direct you to the falls and to the trailhead for Cole Run Trail.

***************

These falls are located a few yards on out past the Cole Run Trailhead sign. You will be atop the falls looking out over into a gorge as you approach. Be extra careful and watch your footing. There is a short rocky trail that leads down off to the right that will take you to the base of the falls.
Impressing little set of falls.

***************

The cache is located further on down in the gorge off the Cole Run Trail. Following the rim of the gorge the trail begins with a short uphill climb then gradually descends down into an area where the trail levels out. The cache will be found in this area.

***************

For those adventerous hikers the trail continues on down along Cole Run from the cache area then turns and follows backup along Blue Hole Creek, a short distance up off the creek. Continuing on up, the trail then turns once again heading on up the hill to a trailhead parking area on Cole Run Road making for a two mile hike up to there. From there back to the parking area at the falls is another mile by way of the road.

NOTE: There is a plaque on the right side of the trail on a tree a short distance in from the trailhead. It describes an Old Bureau of Forestry Clearcut Area and shows how the trees will regenerate thru the years. Be sure to read. It is quite interesting. This area is a good hike further on out around the trail from the cache but if you have some extra time it may be worth checking out.

***************

There are many other caches in the nearby area so why not grab your GPSrs and maps and head on up to the Mountains. I'm sure you will have a great day of caching and a day to remember.

**********

Cache is an ammo can . Please trade fairly and rehide well.

NO SPOILERS IN YOUR LOGS OR PHOTOS OF CACHE HIDE!

* Good Luck and as always Be Safe *
