Montessori in the Woods, formerly Glenridge Montessori, moved to
their present home on Townhall Road in the fall of 2004. The school
sits on 10 acres and occupies the space that was formerly St.
Matthews in the Woods Catholic Church. We offer full day Montessori
services to children aged 15 months through 6th grade. For more on

This cache has been at least a year in the making. During the
spring of '06, I presented a short GPS/Geocaching program at the
school (where my son Alex aka SwordThruster has attended since
pre-school). We played with the GPS out in the parking lot,
"marking" things like light poles and signs and then following the
GPS back to them. The kids had been learning about latitude and
longitude and the GPS brought it all together. I left an ammo can
there and over the course of the past year a few trinkets were
collected. Recently I returned to the school and the children and I
scoped out some great hiding places. We left it in a great spot and
now you have to come find it!
This cache is on school property with full permission of the
Board of Directors (of which I am a member). The best place to
access the cache is actually from the Summit Township Park, which
is behind the school and is also the location of the Goonies' "G7
Summit" cache. If you haven't found that one yet, get it first and
continue through the field to this cache. You can access this cache
from our parking lot but please refrain from doing so during school
hours as this may distract the kids.
