Located within the Village of New Haven. This town was first settled in 1835, originally named New Baltimore Station. In 1838, it was officially organized and named New Haven by one of the town fathers, Adam A. Bennett. In 1865, the Grand Trunk Railroad built a line through here on the way to Port Huron, which assured the town’s permanence. It was incorporated as a village in 1869.
