I have often thought of placing a cache in a tree you must climb to retrieve. Having no tree-climbing skills myself, the cache banged around the house, the van, and my geobag while the idea bounced around in my head.
Then I got a little ribbing about there still being pull outs on Hwy 9 I haven’t placed a cache in yet, so when I saw a likely one, I had to stop and explore. It was a cool little place. I walked in further, and further…. And found a tree that had fallen down. Finally, a tree I can climb!
So there you have it. Park and walk in till you come to a tree crossing the path (of sorts). Walk up it till you find the cache. What could be easier?
The cache is a small lock-and-lock, painted brown. With no excessive camouflage, it should be very easy to find.
FTF and all future finders deserve to treat themselves to Chinese food after finding this cache. I’ll let you guess what our favorite dish is!
Congratulations to JohnnyBoy on being FTF! Way to go, JB!
