This cache has been archived.

KymcoUTL: Sorry everone but archiving this cache. Its been muggled twice now and we will not set this one up again. So sad that some one needed to take this cache. Shows how this world is getting bad. Enough ranting. We still have 2 caches out there. So enjoy the GEO Caching world and remember to be safe out there. Thanks HummerH2&colleeninbigsprings

Geocache Description:

Take a Break at the park area.

The origin of Mayten. Over a century ago, on May 10th 1884,
Richard Rader recieved a permit to operate a post office from his home near the Big Springs Lake. Since there were so many places called Big Springs for lack of a better name he called the post office Mayten for May 10th the day he opened the Post Office. The Post Office operated until 1914. The RFD mail route from Montague eliminated the Post Office address of Mayten. However elections in Big Springs are still held under the name of Mayten

This Geo cach is in a white PVC container.
It includes our first travel bug
A jeep travel bug #497769 a log book and pen
And a few frogs and small cars and misc.,trinkets
There is some traffic from near by buildings so be stealthy.
While it is still there no climbing on the covered wagon.
