Camouflaged lock-n-lock container, hidden just down the road from the location of a now defunct burger joint. Plenty of parking near the cache site.
The burger place (whose former location can be seen from the cache site) was known for its checkered design, its excellent fries, and its unique twin drive-thru arrangement. A couple of years ago it went out of business and the whole place was torn down, leaving little more than a sad pile of rubble. Hopefully another will take its place someday.
This cache was originally going to be located at the site of the old burger place but that would have been too close to another cache. The new location is not difficult to find and the cache is filled with various toys and games that are in keeping with the "checkers" theme. If you take something, please trade it with something that sticks to that theme. And don't forget to sign the "check" log!
