Heart that Cannot Harden (Canterbury) Traditional Cache
KiwiHarvs: I don't geocache much anymore and this was a relatively high maintenance cache. Somebody has asked me to archive it so they can take over the territory.

Container is now a film canister. Hint has been improved to take into account the much smaller container.
This traditional cache is hidden in Ashgrove Reserve, a pleasing garden of looping paths, flagstone bridges, rocky walls and burbling brooks. A bench rests on what appears to be petrified wood. Overhead a dense canopy interferes with light and GPS signals.
The container will be found without leaving any paths. We got reasonable signals near the bench built on fossils, if that's what they are, and then plunged under the canopy to the hiding spot. Try it.
A plaque near the river-side entrance explains the name of the cache. It is not a hint. But petrified wood is a hint.
