This cache has been designed to take you through some of my
favorite trails at our “farm” which was purchased in 1932 by my
great grandfather.
You will want to park on the west side of the road at N40 52.070
W080 05.762. Please don’t park where the no parking signs are. From
there, the trail head is on the west side of the road at N 40
52.149 W 080 05.731. The trail is difficult to see from the road,
so you might need to bushwhack until you hit the trail or find the
first stage. You can pretty much park on the side of the road,
right at the trailhead.
The listed coordinates are for the first stage.
This cache will take you from the northernmost part of our land to
the southernmost line for a fairly level and scenic hike.
Make sure to wear play clothes because the creek is a great place
to play and get muddy. There are lots of guppies, crayfish,
salamanders and other creek creatures. You will also notice lots of
“cover objects” on the ground along the trails. Feel free to
carefully lift them up and inspect for salamanders, mice, and
snakes. Just make sure to replace gently.
The trail starts at the road at N 40 52.149 W 080 05.731
Final Stage - This is a quiet spot that the Deer LOVE… so watch
your step. The cache is a large container that is full of swag so
feel free to bring bigger trade objects and TBs.
Remember that this land is used by many of the locals for hunting
and bird watching, so be careful, wear your orange and don’t dress
like a bird or a 10 point buck for this cache search.
