This Cache is in Honor of my twelve year old Scribe. She won second place in an Essay contest and this cache location is where the awards banquet was held. The topic of this Essay was, "I am proud to be an American because..." There were nearly 180 essays from 14 schools. I guess you could say that the Navigator is a proud Daddy.
The Essay
Why I Am Proud To Be an American
I am very happy to live in our land of America. I believe I am blessed. Here's Why:
I have food on my plate that is actually edible. I have a warm bed to sleep in and a roof over my head. I can go to church without being arrested or killed. I don't have gunmen standing outside my door threatening to kill me. I live in a free country.
America is a wonderful land. It has heavenly fields of flowers, clean blue waters. There is hardly any poverty. America has a free atmosphere where you can believe what you want to believe, do what you want to do, eat what you what to eat. America is a radiant land of opportunity.
I love America the mighty. I am happy to live in my wonderful world.
