BBCM H2O Tour -- Beaver Falls

Located above Beaver Creek and Beaver Falls.
I have lived in the area for 17 years and Dyelo has lived in the area most of her life -- we won't say how long that is, and neither of us had ever visited these magnificent falls before placing this cache!
This is a spectacular 60 foot waterfall dropping along Beaver Creek. This is a dramatic plunge through a steep canyon. There is a spur trail that leads down to a viewpoint and on down to the base of the falls. It would appear the "locals" have installed a rope in a slump area, whereby the kids pull themselves back up the slope.
Please exercise extreme caution near the edge, on the trail down (if you should be so bold) and the rope pull (if you should try)!
There is NO need to go near the edge to find the cache.
The Beautiful British Columbia Mini H2O Tour or BBCM H2O Tour is approximately 110 kilometres, taking a loop from Salmo, south to Nelway, west along the Pend-d’Oreille River Valley (Part of the Dewdney Trail and planned part of the Trans Canada Trail) to Waneta, north towards Montrose and then NNE and finally east via Fruitvale back to Salmo.
There is an abundance of water in most of this gorgeous province. Water is the lifeblood of man and beast. We have tamed nature’s food for: power, irrigation for farming, drinking water, recreation in the form of swimming, boating, fishing, camping, panoramic viewing, and even gold panning. There should be evidence of all these examples and perhaps a few more on this tour!
The tour can be done in any direction, with each of the 14 caches leading up to the final being stand alone caches, but keep in mind that the final cache – Nature’s Gift is near Salmo; said to be home to the finest drinking water in the land!!!
At ten of the caches you will find a clue that is written on both the lid of the container and the first page of the log book. Sound familiar? Record this clue. Four of the caches don’t contain a clue, but which ones don’t? Well I guess you will have to do the circuit to find out!
It is best to park at N49 06.026, W117 33.594 and walk the easy 1.6 km along the old line to the cache. There is a much shorter route, but I haven't determined if it is through private property as yet.
You are looking for a cammoed tobacco tin with original contents of: FTF, Stuffy worm, ball, pin, spirit rocks, Cure Kids Cancer bracelet and Koosh ball.
Enjoy the view, but watch the kids!!!! Continue with the tour!
