An easy cache and dash along this lovely avenue.
This beautiful avenue of Lime Trees (Tilia cordata) is nearly a mile long and looks just as spectacular in the winter as the summer.
The custom of making Avenues of lime trees was adopted in the time of Louis XIVth. Many of the cities of Europe still boast public walks of Lime trees.
I don't think these are as old as that though!
You can park right next to the cache. Beware of the cottages in the field opposite, someone might be watching. The end of the runway at Teesside airport is just across the river
