This cache is part of a series of waterfall themed caches that will
be placed in the Northern Greene/Southern Albany county area. All
of the falls are mentioned in Russell Dunns book "Hudson Valley
Waterfall Guide".
The Wild Forest Falls Cache is located next to the Coxsackie Creek
on State Land. Parking is on County Route 61 at the pull-off next
to a small bridge.(see parking coordinates below) Walk north along
the side of the road until you see a Wild Forest sign on your
right. Enter the woods there. (see enter woods coordinates below)
Walk over to a ridge line and follow it down to a small ditch.
Cross the ditch and follow along the yellow blazed trees. Looks
like alot of survey work going on. This will bring you to the cache
area. Be careful and don't go too close to the edge above the
creek. The cache is a decon container hidden away from the edge in
some rocks. After finding the cache you can walk down to the creek
bed where there are some stone ruins of an old mill and bridge.
Walk upstream a bit to get a nice view of the falls. There is a
prize (unactivated coin) for the first finder of this cache.
