The cache is a 30 cal. ammo can painted cammo, and contains numerous trade items, a logbook, pencil and sharpener.
This cache is a brand new cache which will replace the original "Foley Lake" cache which was archived on July 3,2006 by the owner BeDoggy and had not had a logged find since March 2006. On May 8,2007 I found the remains of the cache and recorded same with pictures before removing the cache from the area. (see GCG0K8)
Foley Lake is a marvelous mountain lake in a pristine setting surrounded by large trees and high peaks. The lake has been stocked with fish and is a very good lake to fish with a belly boat or canoe. Years ago this lake was enjoyed by families camping for a few days to a couple of weeks. The road to the lake has been upgraded since this cache was placed and there is good access all the way to the lake.If you wish to hike to the lake along he roadway, park at the Parking Co-ordinates, it is a 1.7km walk to the cache, it is an easy hike, which does have some elevation gain but the road is easy to walk on. However you should be able to drive right to the cache in a 2wd vehicle at this time.

Come to the lake and enjoy the scenery, be sure to bring a fishing rod and you might just have fresh trout for your next meal.
GPS signals are very spotty in this area with the tree cover and proximity of the high mountains around the lake, the co-ords will take you to the lake side of the road which leads to Foley Lake and beyond, as you reach the co-ords look at the trees toward the lake, you will see pink flagging tape on two small trees, the cache is located between these two markers and is close to the road. See also additional hints.
